Memorial Day is a day to remember and honor those who died while performing military service. Memorial Day will be observed on Monday, May 25th in 2009. Memorial Day is always celebrated on the last Monday of May in the United States.

How will you and your family celebrate Memorial Day weekend this year?

Won't Do Anything Special, will volunteer to work for a few minutes that day (for a few hrs ot pay), otherwise no plan, being i have no family around me.

I'm not sure what we are doing yet. I would like to have a cook out here with my family but since we will all be getting together 5 days later for my nephew's wedding that probably won't happen. Maybe I'll just have a cook out for friends if they don't already have other plans made. But then there are two of my husband's friends that I can't stand and I wouldn't want here...so what do I do if they show up? Hmmm...such a dilemma. LOL

I will also be taking flowers to the cemeteries but I will do that a couple days before Memorial Day.

I'm taking a week long trip, but most of you already knew that.

I'm going to work in the garden. I have Brussels Sprouts and Beets to plant. The neighbor farmer permitted me to plant a small garden on the corner of his field.
