As for the poll, i have read an article once or twice in a time magazine in a waiting room or somethiing i think, cant say i've ever opened an AARP, readers digest, better home/garden or sprts illistrated mag. I don't subscribe to any, but will read online mags from time to time.
Outdoor Photography, This Old House, Woman's Day, Woman's World, Birds and Bloom, Taste of Home, Prevention, Family Circle, AARP, on a regular basis. I have a subscription for several of these.
I totally love Taste of Home and Birds and Bloom and Outdoor Photography and read them from cover to cover and never throw them away. To much good stuff in them.

I am appalled at the number of pharmaceutical ads in family magazines and will never buy with one in it, for one thing.
Something like Time has a history of causing upsets with people and groups so I don't even look at those.
Newspapers tend towards bias and I don't think many people believe them anymore.
For facts I go on the internet and check out all sides of an issue to know the truth for myself.
I totally love National Geographic for the historical information and any kind of nature mag with photos is top of my list.
However, I really don't have time to sit and read anything! Too busy creating.
I don't subscribe to any right now, but I have in the past. I used to love reading Reader's Digest. They have some of the best stories and little jokes.
When I'm at the book store I look at HOW magazine and other graphic design magazines. I look at food magazines, especially Taste of Home. I sometimes look at nature magazines for the photography.
I stopped subscribing to magazines when I was short on time and haven't gotten any since. I'm still mad that Reiman Publications got rid of the Country Discoveries magazine since I found lots of places to travel to in there. The photography was great and I've gone to a number of places that were in the magazine that I wouldn't have known about otherwise. I haven't found another travel magazine like it since. Country Discoveries was all about traveling off the beaten path and not going to the overpriced resorts like other travel mags.
I used to subscribe to National Geographic, Better Homes & Gardens, Readers Digest, TV Guide and Reminisce but when my son got into high school and I was volunteering a lot, I didn't have time to read them so I canceled them all. The only one I get now is the History of Wisconsin which is a quarterly publication I receive as a member of the State Historical Society.
When ever I get a new magazine I toss it in the car. I am forever waiting for one of my kids after school, or coming out from a store they ran in to pick up something, or various other reasons. Having a magazine is great rather than a book. The articles are short enough to get a few in before taking off again.
Also a great way to feel like the wait you are forced to do is more of a 'nice break' while you sit back and enjoy your new magazine.

Magazines I got in today's mail: Vibe, Fast Company, Bazaar, Conde Nast Traveler, Bird Talk, and Aquarium Fish International.
Well Dave, I know how I make time to read my few magazines I get but do tell us how you find time to read all the ones that come in your mail? Seems like your spare time is always on the computer. lol

I have a magazine rack in the bathroom and no computer in there
What's "spare time"?
