Re: What would you say to Brett Favre?
Without going into a great diatribe about the highly overblown media coverage that has put both Favre and the Packers organization into a no-win situation, I would say this:
Brett, you played the game (and will again) in the way that everyone should. It's a sport, make it fun. Keep going nose-to-nose with the defensive linemen, keep carrying your receivers around the field, keep doing all the things that made you the 16 year favorite quarterback of Green Bay. Even the people who "hate" you can't take that away from you. I loved every touchdown, I hated every interception, I cheered every win, and I grumbled at every loss.
I would love to see you do that in a Green Bay uniform, but it doesn't look like I'll get that wish, courtesy of the uncompromising stubbornness of the current team leadership. They claim they need to look to the future, but every pre-game press conference is "We're just focusing on the next game." They've backed themselves into a corner, and you are the easy target. Anyone who says that you've tarnished your reputation at Green Bay should take a close look at how the management has handled this before placing blame.
Good luck, thank you, and have fun where ever you end up playing.
