Re: Do you subscribe to print magazines?

I read 100+ periodicals a month.

I devour Wired the day I get it.

Others include:

Milwaukee Magazine
Network Computing
VAR Business
BtoB Marketing
Streaming Media
Several video and sound publications
Several newspapers, daily and weekly
Information Week
Baseline
Network World
Small Business Times and Milwaukee Business Journal
Several Mac magazines
Mens Health
Readers Digest
A bit of the women's & home / garden stuff the ladies in the house get

About 50 of the magazines I view are trade publications in various industries of my clients. I scan these for online marketing information.

I'm notorious for asking permission to take lobby copies whenever I'm anywhere and have a chance to view anything interesting.

Regards,
Keith

As much as I love the computer and feel that the internet opens the world up to pick from what you may, I still love my print magazines and books.

When I'm picking up kids from schools I usually have a few mintues to myself. I don't have my computer with me but I can have a book or magazine. I feel this is 'my' time and I love to browse quickly through articles of interest.

Actually I feel as if I spend enough time in front of a computer that sometimes I like to just walk away from it all and remember the times when you actually picked up something and turned pages manually. lol

When I do get a chance to read a magazine I try to get gardening ones, Taste of Home (one of my favorites), This Old House, things that require little attention but adds fun to my time.

I've been a TOH subscriber for years (the Apples & Onions Chicken in the last edition was awesome). Every now and then I pick up Women's World, Country Living, All You or First. My magazine reading is purely for relaxation.

I gave up on Glamour and Cosmo. I don't spend enough of my time starving myself to fit into the clothes in those magazines.

Re: Do you subscribe to print magazines?

Yes, I have to admit I read all of the ones you mentioned Kris when I can too. Another great magazine I love but forgot to mention is Birds and Bloom, great articles, tips and photos. Also every once in awhile I like to pick up Reminence. These last two magazines are from the same Raimen Publishers as Taste of Home.

Re: Do you subscribe to print magazines?

I sell all the most popular magazines with my own Internet store but I haven't even really advertised it online much. Normally I just order subscriptions for my own family and friends through my store because it allows me to send it to whatever address I want. Usually I tell the person that I ordered them something and it should be coming in a few weeks but one time I sent a subscription to my cousin and she didn't even know how she got it until I told her it was me. lol

I recently ordered a subscription for my mom and dad that's called Camping Life because they just bought a camper now that they're retired. It's really handy to just look up whatever your family or friends are into and send them a magazine on it. They always love it.
