Election results and my opinions
With the elections past us for now, it's plain to see that alot of change took place. At least here in Central Wisconsin. Quite a bit of turnover in school boards, city councils, mayoral offices, pretty much all offices.
I, for one, am glad to see the people exercise their rights this way. It sends a strong message to elected officials that the status quo won't be tolerated. Some political correctness that make us cringe privately, but feel obligated to support publicly (nobody wants to be labeled as anti this or that), is the reason for this in my opinion.
It's taking some time, but I think that people are realizing that some of our local "feel good" policies cost real money that in the end, most of us don't like to pay for.
Comman sense and fiscal responsibility are on the way back. It's about time.
Remember, local elections probably have more direct impact on your bank account than the presidental elections. Make sure the people you vote for are qualified and not just looking to fill some spare time.
