What are Wisconsin's Top Political Issues?

Please give your reasoned opinion (not rant) on what Wisconsin's top political issues are - and why you believe these issues should be considered most important to the Badger State.

Narrow the gap of racial, financial, and educational disparity between Milwaukee and its suburbs. Period. Equality.

Economic development. This interview with RedPrairie executive John Jazwiec is a frank look at the status of business in Wisconsin. We're losing manufacturing jobs, so we need to look at replacing them with quality jobs in new fields. Retail and service jobs do not support the cost of living in Wisconsin.

To attract and retain quality employers, Wisconsin's excessive healthcare costs need to be addressed. Employers will not come here if they can't afford to retain employees by providing good benefits. Employees will not relocate here if the salaries and benefits don't match the cost of living.

Keeping companies like Red Prairie does not only benefit RedPrairie employees. For example, these employees will buy houses, benefitting home builders and their workers. Employees working low-paying retail jobs can't afford to invest in a community this way.

If we want to stop losing our educated residents to Chicago or the west coast, Wisconsin needs to make it worthwhile for businesses to stay here.

i agree with everything kris10 said.

plus.

the marriage amendment.
if the state decides it doesnt want the amendment, all else doesnt matter. im moving to greener pastures anyways. like a state with morals, and lower taxes maybe.

Your post is a little unclear. Are you saying that if the state decides that hate is not a moral value, that you're moving because the state has lost its morals? Or that you're moving anyway so you don't care which way it goes?

thats ok, it can be unclear. you wouldnt agree anyways, even if it was clear.
besides i didnt say anything about hate. you did.
i simply stated what i thought was the important issue to me.
and yes, im already preparing to move to another section of the state because i cant stand the conditions in this area. maybe ill just move to a state that has already taken a moral stand.
kieth specifically asked for it not to be a rant, so the simple statement was all that was required.
