Bravo! Outstanding January 2005 State of the State Address
Governor Doyle impressed me - completely - with his sincere, intelligent, level-headed and plain-spoken State of the State Address today.
See http://www.wisgov.state.wi.us/ for more information.

Doyel- RIGHT Man for the job
I've heard alot about his new budgit. Some are complaining about the $250,000,000.00 that he plans on giving to Wisconsin Education. How soon we forgrt, Gov. Doyel is the same guy who started receiving $270,000,000.00 per year for our highways from the Federal Gov. for lowering the legal limit from .10 to.08. He also lowered the state deficet from -$6,000,000,000.00 to 1.5 Bilion, I say He's doing a heck of a good job. THANKS FOR READING...

govenor Doyle
Ok, ok, I'm not a big Doyle fan but I will give credit when it's due.
He took over a difficult (to say the least) task from the previous republican administrations. (who says Thompson didn't know when to quit)
He's surprised me and I will say he's doing an excellent job.
I didn't like him giving in to the gambling tribes with longer compacts, but that is another rant..lol

Who does this man think he is? He cannot just add and delete items as he pleases. Yes, he has " line item veto " power. He cannot just change the budget to HIS liking. It HAS to go back to the Assembly. If a republican governor would of done the thing that Doyle did there would be an outcry the like of which would not be rivaled soon from the media. Yet their man did something illegal and they seep it out.

The thing that concerns me is Doyle vetoing the Voter Photo ID bill.
Having a photo ID just seems like a logical requirement and not intimidating at all to anyone. After all, he signed a law that now requires just that (photo ID) to get certain over the counter cold medications!
Seems to me his priorities as far as ID is concerned is a bit inconsistant.

He's a liberal. Liberals dont have the courage to demand responsibility like requiring an ID from someone given the right to vote. Why would we want to ID our voters afterall? I mean what would be that point?

So he has the courage to demand an ID for cough syrup but not the courage to demand an ID for voting?

Ok so you tell me. Why is it important to photo ID when buying vick cough syrup, but voting....that we dont need a Photo ID. Clearly it isnt an issue with the cost of the ID poor and indigent need cough syrup. Certainly it isnt an issue of race targeting people of all races need to fix their coughs. So help me out why the extra step with Cough syrup?

Voting
:? The photo ID is not very important, Because to vote in any upcmeing elections you have to be preregistered. And to do that you have to show proof that you live and pay utilities in your district. If you are not preregistered you can not vote!!!!!!!!!!!

Governer who? i forgot we had one of those?
primary? photo id? do you mean we still get to vote?
just kidding, actually i havent kept up on what he has or hasnt done.
we're still trying to figure out how he got away with covering the butt of our local D.A ,who was neck deep in a police coverup scandle, of course we may be better off.
isnt it weird the things we remember about politicians?
LOL at bgdog, your rants are as messed up as the liberals are. if your going to play the conservative point of view, at least try not to sencelessly rant like a liberal. focus, man!
you have to keep a level head, and use alot of facts and figures to make your point. so that they can get emotional and accuse you of not thinking about what your saying, not the other way around. they like it that way.
besides if the worst that can be said about the man is that he didnt require photo id to vote ,then i think he has done pretty well. after all this isnt florida or anything.

As Little T said, you need to be preregistered to vote and preregistration requires ID.
Can you imagine having to show a voter ID card when you vote. A card you might use once every two years? A lot of people would lose the card.
With as low as our voter turn out is in the US we don't need another obstacle to voting.
And you'll get A LOT of people who will show up to vote and realize that they don't have their card on them.
PLUS, it would be very easy to make a counterfeit card.
When you think it through, voter ID cards is NOT a good idea.

Gooood Job
I think he is doing a good job.... He has lowered our states debt.... ( thanks to tommys spending habits) As for the Indian Gameing Compact???? I do not know alot on those?????
BUT on the other hand GREEN has NOT given his ILLEAGAL contributions back and that is over 500,000 and another possible 750,000..... Now thats a heck of alot of $$$$$$$$$$$$ if he is that corrupt that he takes that kind of mony.... what would he do as a govener???? I would hate to even think of it.....
Jimbo has been doing a good job .... Considering everything is being run by the Repulicans.... Thats why we need the line item veto to take out the Pork and other unnessesary junkets in the bills !!!! to be passed......He has alot of good ideas for the education, health, and to get jobs back into our state that we lost from the REP. Majority in charge.....
I Say stand up and be heard... Your vote counts.... get out and vote this nov.7th....
