Politics are not taboo at work!

We spend most of our lives at work, often our closest friendships are with those at work. Our coworkers know us well, they should, they need to!

Shades of grey exist in almost every issue facing this great nation of ours and we need to talk about them. Newsflash to Managers; your people are discussing them already anyway!

Skilled Mangers can leverage "water cooler" conversations to teach professionalism by maintaining clear and consistent guidelines. When employees are effective, skilled communicators, it is a win-win situation.

America is the best nation on earth because WE CAN discuss politics.

Significant community and world events need to be discussed, to learn more visit www.politicoinz.com Be informed get involved and have fun.

With rights come responsibility

Our freedom of speech means nothing if we don't exercise it. It's like that exercise bike that sits in the spare room unused. Sure we have it... but what's the point if we don't get on and peddle regularly? The bike cost us a few bucks to purchase... so it's a small loss if it's not used. Our freedom of speech cost lives! If we don't discuss and share our thoughts on the issues that affect us, we will have to settle for whatever choices are made FOR us. I would rather have a say in how those choices are made so they're more apt to be ones that work FOR me.

I have built an active news/politics forum where I work. We discuss issues that affect the lives of our families. We can easily do the same here. I know some avoid these topics because of the confrontation that often results. For them, I want to share the wisdom my Dad instilled in us. "If you don't vote or know what's going on, don't complain either."
