Another Obama activist disrupting a peacefull meeting on Health Care. He evens throws an elbow. That should've landed him in jail. Then he has the nerve to call the people at the meeting "an angry white mob".
HCAN activist explaining to people how to disrupt town hall meetings. When someone has a question that's near them, just stand up and chant (like a zombie) "health care now, health care now". Make sure to be between the questioner and the camera.
This is just plain hilarious. Obamas worker bee puppets are complaining that the media isn't helping them on healthcare.
Do you understand that? The most "in the tank" mass media of all time, is not doing enough for Obama. For Gods sake, the CEO of GE, which owns NBC/MSNBC, is an advisor to Obama as well as being on the board of the New York Federal Reserve. Then you've got the New York Times, Newsweek, Time, Washington Post, NPR, CBS, ABC.......geez.
This is good news. The IRS will expand it's power with Obamacare. Hey, who doesn't love the IRS? After all, they're part of our compassionate caring government that's looking out for your best interest.
I think it's good to have some perspective on the claims of how wonderful some other countries health care is when trying to follow these debates.
Let's rewind back to 2004 and take a look at the French system. This is about the time the U.N declared France the #1 health care system in the world. We were ranked about 30th. Right next to Cuba.
Partial quote:
The report says citizens must pay more and doctors must alter their behaviour.
The warning comes after thousands of health workers protested on Thursday over staff shortages and the "creeping privatisation" of the health system.
The report says an ageing population and the high cost of advanced treatments will help push health spending past 9% of gross domestic product - one of the highest levels in the world.
Problems in the French health system were exposed last year, when a heat wave killed around 15,000 mostly elderly people.
There was also a bed shortage in hospitals in December, when a nationwide flu and bronchitis epidemic broke out.
This is our future. Once National health care is passed, it will be the number one political issue for all politicians for every election cycle. "Reforming the system" will be a never ending chant. "Lowering costs" will be another.

As far as the CNN poll, like any poll, take it with a grain of salt. It was a very poor sampling of people when 18% of the respondents who participated identified themselves as Republicans and 45% identified themselves as Democrats.
But whatever, that's the game of polls. It's part of politics. You just need to understand it. I always look at the "Real Clear Politics" polls. They average out many different sources.
So the "direction of the country" is quite different than your source. 58% wrong track and only 35% right track.
CNN's biased poll not-withstanding, what's the feeling about the speech?
Well, for a guy who's talked healthcare all across the country, televised numerous times, created the spectacle of a joint session of congress, he sure doesn't state his case very well.
Many in the country still wonder what in the hell he's doing.
He didn't say anything new, he just re-packaged it to try to show that the debate needs to end. The evidence, apparantly, is that if he can't think of anything new to say, the debate must be over.
I will say though, that it was a very partisan speech. Full of anger and ridicule. I guess that's his way of getting bi-partisanship.
But I agree with Obama. He's got all the power, the white house, house of reps and the senate. So get it done. Forget the republicans, they are a non factor.
If he can't pass what he wants with overwhelming majorities all across the government, he is a eunuch.
Sure are alot of lingering questions out there after the great orator just finished the "greatest speech ever" (per Nancy Pelosi) in the house. I thought he was going to clear up all questions and give details. whatever.
Here's a list of all the Republican proposals, bills and resolutions. You know, the "party of no". The party of "status quo". The party with "no ideas" and all other Obama lies.
But of course it's all because of race. Wow, no one predicted this coming. Leave it to Maureen Dowd to throw this stone. She's becoming the face of the New York Times, which is why they are failing. She's the definition of a political whore.
These libs are the most racist group in the country. They're the ones flashing the race card at every chance they can.
Uh, someone pleeeeeeeeeease tell Obama that Republicans are not holding up his agenda. They are a non-factor. He's weak in his own party. The party that runs everything. Nothing is stopping them. Quit complaining about Republicans. Get your folks together and get it done and take ownership and declare victory! That's what all his supporters want.
C'mon now, even you liberals got to be tired of seeing The One on t.v. this much.
He's treating the Oval office like an ACORN office. Community organizing instead of leading as President. I can't recall either Bush, Reagan, Clinton or Carter doing this.....
Since most liberals don't understand big business, I'll break it down.
"Profits" are not a problem in the system. Read the article.
Insurance company monopolies are a lie. First, the reason that individual states only have a few companies is because of government mandates. Repeal them. It doesn't make a lick of sense to solve one government induced problem by injecting more government control.
Next, The majority of poeple who get "private" insurance get it from companies that are self-insured or self-funded. So for the majority of coverage, profits are not a factor at all.
More reality. The heavy hand of the Federal Government will be interlaced with your daily life more than ever.
You could go to jail if you don't pay for health insurance. Better wake up folks, this isn't about taking care of your health care, it's about taking your money.
For anyone who's interested, I authored a brief article not too long ago on the role of the Internet in healthcare.
To quote from the article:
"A vibrant marketplace that truly allows for the free exchange of ideas, information, and best practices concerning healthcare has already been created and is being added to and strengthened every day, free of partisan interference of any sort."
I think the major difference is we finally have a tech-saavy President in the Oval office.. someone who utilizes every avenue to make a point.. I applaud that actually. His strength comes from his ability to organize and reach out. Alot of politicians could do worse than to emulate his people skills.
I don't agree with every aspect of the new health care reform.. tax credits don't do much for those who don't get taxes back due to student loans so presumably they'd have to pay for their insurance out of pocket or go on the public dole. Unless I'm missing something.. we won't know of course until the final draft is voted on.

I think you're giving him too much credit. Flooding the Sunday morning news shows isn't tech saavy or an organizational strength. It's Narcicistic and Egomaniacal. Hardly a people skill. Besides, I would consider him weak on people skills when he can't get his own party to get along.

You're missing something. A tax credit is a government giveaway. You dont' have to pay it, in order to get it back. That's why almost a third of all people actually get more of a refund than they pay in.
A tax credit is not the same as a deductions. You can have no (taxable) income, therefore pay no tax, and still get a refund because of tax credits. Like Homestead or Child credits.

One other thing Dave, for a guy who (you say) is saavy for utilizing all avenues, he sure complains quite a bit about those very same avenues when they don't suit his agenda.
