Glad you finally recognized it.

It "implies" nothing. They are a wing of the Democratic party. They have a chairman and everything. You should have done another Google search. You might learn something.
Simply that I'm tired of seeing phrases like "Obama sucking up to ruthless murdering dictators" when the only reference (Google or otherwise) to that statement comes from this thread.
As I've said before, I didn't vote for Obama but I think he has been sincere in his efforts to bridge differences and mend fences in a diplomatic way.
Thanks for the birthday wishes.

After doing the Google search and reading the Mission Statement, I could find no reference in any way about the congressionalblackcaucus, in Cuba, so the reference is proprietary in it's mission to relate Obama, with being Black. Is that why you mentioned this 1, out of many Democratic Party Wings.
Don't know what this means.
It means, what type of response to Democracy and it's Reflection ie: Obama, would one expect from a Communist Countries, Communist Leaders.
That we once tried to invade, and would have loved to Murder Castro, that was the plan in 1961.
I'm not in a contest with you.
The contest is with Popular opinion, My opinion is just that. Not that it always has. Not that I supported Bush, but I disagree with disrespect to The Office of the President, Whom ever holds the seat.
So?
The Embargo was lightened by Obama, regardless of the relationship politics played and has played, between the Castro's and the U.S.A. Again, we see Obama dropping political popularity, ( by meeting with Cuba's Leaders ) to do the right thing. Lighten the Embargo!
Couldn't I say the same about this next comment.
Your missing the point of the story....again.
The point is, and I'll type slow for you, is that his appeasement to dictators is not gaining him any good will with them. The Embargo is a side note.
Disagree, on the Embargo, side note, The Cubans seem to disagree also.
Marchers, waving signs with slogans like "Down With the Genocidal Blockade," were calling for an end to the US economic embargo on Cuba. This is from the story you posted, you did read it?
So.
Until Then.

Alright, if we want to make this a topic on the Embargo, I'll go that way.
I don't believe the Embargo had the effect desired when put in place. Therefore it can be lifted. Matter of fact, I wish it would be lifted. It was designed to change the Catro behavior, but it didn't. It was tried, it didn't work. It's not like conditions in Cuba were wonderful and suddenly we decided to put on an embargo where things went downhill. Cuba can import products from all over the world. We are not holding them back from any economic prosperiety because of the embargo.
But I also do not believe that it will change anything in Cuba in any measurable way for the Cuban people. So let's lift the Embargo and eliminate it as the distraction that it is. Then when we see that the conditions in Cuba haven't changed, the current administration can try something different. At least it'll be one thing that the Castro's can't blame us for anymore.
So in closing, we should lift the embargo, but don't expect the living conditions or human rights conditions to change in Cuba.

Unfortunately, I agree there but I think lifting the embargo is exactly what's needed to make a start in the right direction.
Things won't change appreciably until the current regime (or at least Fidel) is out of the picture.. I think Raul might be a bit more forward thinking if his brother weren't around.

Yes I agree,
The topic was raised when I read the article, not before.
As subject, an article, created by some one else. Can we see how an opinion of one side, one topic, could be drawn to another. Would it not be fare to use the whole article, and not just what we chose "from" it?
Until Then.

The United Nations has declared Fidel Castro a "World Hero". I'm having a hard time figuring out why Cubans jump on makeshift rafts to get to America. There health care is on the same level as ours (per the U.N.) and their leader is a world hero. Our congresspeople visit him and call him a genious.
I guess the Cuban people are just stupid and don't know what's good for 'em.
Still think the U.N. isn't pushing for a global socialist society? We need to get out of the U.N. All they do is take our money and put out useless resolutions.
