Well here's a good story for the Al Gore lemmings.

For those of us that can think for ourselves, the story's a little different.

In order to power 230,000 residences, you need 627 windmills covering 100,000 acres. How much land do you all think we have for these stupid windmills?

Think about that. An area almost the size of Lake Winnebago is forever lost to 627 windmills that'll power those residences when at peak. Windmills are almost never at peak. Lost in the discussion is that they will not power any business, only residences. So it's still quite a shortfall if you want to power a city or county.

How many homes can these windmills power once everyone is plugging in their electric Obama car?

At a billion dollars, that's 1.6 million per windmill. Quite an investment for something that only runs part-time. Maintainence is also not included in the figures.

Just take a little time, take a deep breath, forget about politics and global warming hype and decide if this makes any sense to you.

Nice little wheel for quick errands around town.

After reading the article, I perused the comments. Folks expressed a safety concern. An issue with the windshield/roof, with the crease causing visibility problems for any passenger.

Poor design.

Make it side-by-side, 4wd,with a good heater and a reliable windshield...etc.

I think if you actually went back and read my posts, you would see that FOX sources are miniscule. I also cite many left wing sources.

Complaining about FOX, when I've used dozens and dozens of different sources, just means you have zero credibility.

Just wondering, has anyone ever called you a bully as you grew up? It seems you have an idea of 'how' things should be and you dog it to death with all your 'facts' that you dig up that only go with what your opinion is and then when anyone (especially the new members) come on with their thoughts on the subject you bully them until they go away.

There is one way of saying what you feel is correct, and then there is your way with the attitude that no one can have a thought in their head if it doesn't go along with you.

Quite frankly I'm tired of members telling me how they avoid any posts by you, or a few leaving the site because they have been insulted when they gave their ideas (everyone here has a right to safely give their thoughts here, as it should be) because you had an 'attitude' with them and they had enough. I cringe when a new member comes on and has to go up against your name calling, or attitude of how they are brainless and they go away thinking that is what the bubbler is all about.

Personally I wish they would remove this forum all together since after all it does states WISCONSIN POLITICAL CONVERSATION at the top and you are always going on about something other than WISCONSIN related.

And yes, before you start screaming that others put things here (including mods) that is not 'just Wisconsin' you are correct and I think I will as a mod bring this up to Keith how this whole thread has been misused.

I would tend to agree with your viewpoint on this..

And while I agree the topic of global warming/global cooling is and should be of concern to everyone, I agree with PK in hoping that we see more posts directly related to local Wisconsin politics and issues. There are plenty of other forums where general/national political discussion is the main focus.
