There is no evidence that mankind causes global temperatures to vary one way or the other. All the automobile emissions and industrial by-products don't have a lasting effect on the planet. The scars even disappear. Let the blame rest on the earth, or mother nature, itself. The Earth is doing it to itself. Underwater volcanic activity warms the sea water, and changing the currents, lowers the sea levels because of evaporation. The increased water vapor in the air creates more storms, and a more severe weather condition in general. Scientists have recently speculated that warmer sea water temperatures was a major contribution to the dinosaurs going extinct.
As far as Carbon Dioxide (CO) being deemed as a pollutant, the plants would disagree. Anything that breathes would disagree, unless they have their head stuck in Al Gore's rectum.
You gotta wonder how much the left really believes their rhetoric when they want to "go green", but "not in my backyard".

Here's one of the lead IPCC authors in testimony to congress. Basically, he says that all these windmills, biofuels, biomass and solar panels will have no effect on climate. Neither will new MPG standards (just signed today by Obama). The only thing that will work, at a small scale, is nuclear power plants on a large scale implementation. Nobody here has the stomach for that.
Plus, all those fancy high priced climate models are wrong. Shocker.
From my analysis, the actions being considered to “stop global warming” will
have an imperceptible impact on whatever the climate will do, while making
energy more expensive, and thus have a negative impact on the economy as a
whole. We have found that climate models and popular surface temperature
data sets overstate the changes in the real atmosphere and that actual changes
are not alarming. And, if the Congress deems it necessary to reduce CO2
emissions, the single most effective way to do so by a small, but at least
detectable, amount is through the massive implementation of a nuclear power
program. Other currently available alternatives simply cannot produce enough
energy to be significantly noticed at a price and geographic scale that is
affordable.
More and more scientists are coming forward disputing this MMGW nonsense. What took them so long?

Jeff Kuhn, a rising star at the University of Hawaii’s Institute for Astronomy, is one of the most recent scientists to go public, revealing in press releases this month that solar scientists worldwide are on a mission to show that the Sun drives Earth’s climate. “As a scientist who knows the data, I simply can’t accept [the claim that man plays a dominant role in Earth’s climate],” he states.
When bodies such the IPCC dismiss solar science’s contribution to understanding Earth’s climate out of hand, solar scientists no longer sit on their hands. Danish scientist Henrik Svensmark of the Danish National Space Institute stated that the IPCC was “probably totally wrong” to dismiss the significance of the sun, which in 2009 would likely have the most spotless days in a century. As for claims from the IPCC and other global warming doomsayers who argue that periods of extreme heat or cold were regional in scope, not global, Svensmark cites the Medieval Warm Period......

I thought that was their claim to be above reproach, the "peer review" of the "science". I guess like minded money chasing psuedo-scientists agreeing with each other is good enough to be called "peer reviewed". Then it gets posted in Wikipedia and it becomes settled science.

Yet when it comes to substance, the group is brimful of alarmist Kool-Aid, saying humanity "very likely" is to blame for climate change. Until the IPCC takes that as a hypothesis to be evaluated objectively via the uncorrupted scientific method -- not as the foregone conclusion its "science" must support -- real reform won't occur.
Maybe one thing that would help is if they would stop lying about their "peer review" process. Everyone knows that like minded zealots agreeing with each other is not the same as peer review.

nothing surprised me more than discovering how widely the nature of the IPCC is misunderstood. It is invariably portrayed as a body representing the top scientists in the world, objectively weighing the complex forces that shape Earth's climate. In reality, it's nothing of the kind........The IPCC was, from the start, essentially a political pressure group, producing evidence to support the view that global warming was the most serious crisis facing the planet.
