OK, economic forecasters make mistakes. Fair enough. But neither the administration experts nor President Obama will acknowledge that their models and strategy are flawed. Instead, they spin the numbers and proclaim success, insisting that the plan is working even though unemployment is higher than they said it would be.
This wingnut still thinks the stimulus was too small. That's the problem, 800 billion dollars was too small. Nevermind that most of it is spent/used next year to bolster the campaigns of your favorite Democrats in the mid-term elections. Oh no, politics didn't have anything to do with the stimulus, it was all for saving the economy.
Still haven't spent 10% of this boondoggle. But let's approve more.
And this nut won the Noble Prize. What does that tell you about the Noble commision?
These friggen Liberals and Obama passed an almost 1 trillion dollar "stimulus" bill in February. This was done, as I'm sure you remember, to "jolt" the economy back on track.
Let's not forget, this stimulus was supposed to be the solution. That's why it's so big, to match the size of the problem inherited by Bush.
Now, as if they're innocent bystanders, they're trying to come up with a plan to handle the poor ecomony and high unemployment.
AM I IN THE TWILIGHT ZONE?
Here's the first paragraph:
Confronted with big job losses and no sign the U.S. economy is ready to stand on its own, Democrats are working on a growing list of relief efforts, leaving for later how to pay for them, or whether even to bother.
Alright folks, here's a real life example of how the Stimulus "creates" jobs:
A new 4 lane highway is being constructed in my area. It's a new Hwy 10 bypass around Stevens Point.
The project has been approved, funded and under construction for years.
When the stimulus was passed, the State applied for stimulus funds for the project. It was approved. So the State just doesn't spend money (that it budgeted to spend) out of the Highway fund. It plugs some holes in it's overbloated budget. Obama takes credit for "creating" all jobs associated with this project.
In reality, no new jobs were created.
This is what happens on many "shovel ready" projects. Nothing different actually happens, just a shift of funding.

Cool, more nail painters and hair dressers. That'll jolt the economy.
Partial quote:
Only 1 to 2 percent of beauty school graduates will be working in the field five years from graduation, said Bonnie Poole, treasurer of the Florida Cosmetology Association.
End quote.
Good Investment. I'm sure glad the governement is taking care of all these issues in such a well thought out, practical, fiscally responsible manner.
Well, Doyle's happy. After getting almost 2 billion of your dollars, he claims to have "saved or created" (whatever that means) 8284 jobs.
Here's the hitch. 6100 of those were for "teachers, cops and firefighters". You think all those positions were really in jeopardy? Nope. It was just payoffs to those unions. Especially the teachers union.
But for the sake of arguement, let's call all those legitimate "saves". The cost is 240,000 dollars per job.
Some say the recession is over. Maybe, Maybe not. But at what cost and will it last? Actually, if the recession is over, why not just cancel the rest of the spending? Especially with results like these.
Cash for clunkers was probably the biggest force (along with giving away $8000 to buy houses) in showing economic growth last quarter. But that was a one shot deal and how much did it really cost?
How much is being lost to crooks through fraud? Few billion here, few billion there......Remember, the government is trying to convince you that they'll pay for healthcare by cleaning up waste, fraud and abuse.
On top of all that, the number of jobs claimed to be "saved or created" is a lie as well.
Examples of government job creations:
A company working with the Federal Communications Commission reported that stimulus money paid for 4,231 jobs, when about 1,000 were produced.
A Georgia community college reported creating 280 jobs with recovery money, but none was created from stimulus spending.
A Florida child care center said its stimulus money saved 129 jobs but used the money on raises for existing employees.
Colorado-based Teletech Government Solutions on a $28.3 million contract with the Federal Communications Commission for creation of a call center, reported creating 4,231 jobs, although 3,000 of those workers were paid for five weeks or less.
The Toledo, Ohio-based Koring Group received two FCC contracts, again for call centers. It reported hiring 26 people for each contract, or a total of 52 jobs, but cited the same workers for both contracts. The jobs only lasted about two months.
Officials at East Central Technical College in Douglas, Ga., said they now know they shouldn't have claimed 280 stimulus jobs linked to more than $200,000 to buy trucks and trailers for commercial driving instruction, and a modular classroom and bathroom for a health education program.
The San Joaquin, Calif., Regional Rail Commission reported creating or saving 125 jobs as part of a stimulus project to lay railroad track. Because the project drew from two pools of money, the commission reported the jobs figure twice, bringing the total to 250 on the government report.
I love a good laugh in the morning. The White House can't tell the difference between a job "saved" or a job "created" after all their data scrubbing.
Partial quote:
the White House left it up to the people reporting the numbers to make that determination for themselves. “What we have to do is rely on the fact that our public officials are honest,” he said. “We don’t differentiate in the reporting between created and saved jobs.”
End quote.
Hilarious! I can't wait until independant analysis comes out on this. Bottom line, we've lost over 3 million jobs since Obama took office. That's reality, not hocus pocus creative accounting.
It's all smoke and mirrors. Nothing that's being done is designed to help, it's designed to prolong the poor economy, start and expand social programs and make more people dependent on government (healthcare) thereby creating a permanent voting base.
Here's the best quote from California: This is not really a real number of people," CSU spokeswoman Clara Potes-Fellow said. "It's like a budget number.
Oh boy, there's a couple lessons in that statement. First, the admission that the "saved" jobs are (again) bogus.
Next, the admission that budget numbers are bogus. Geez, I wonder why California's in trouble? Not like Wisconsin is any different though.
On top of all this, Obama today, said that in light of the bad unemployment numbers, he signed a bill into law today to "save and create" even more jobs. He said he's not going to rest until everyone who wants a job can get a job. That's why he signed the new law.
What law? Extending unemployment benefits. This will (Obama said) create or save more jobs.
I need more liberal lessons. Because I don't know how that works.

Listen for yourself. Starts at about 1:45. Sorry, it's a FOX video. But I checked, it's not edited and I think it's real.
I guess if unemployment benefits strengthen the economy, we should just make them unlimited and raise the benefit to, oh I don't know, $1000 a week? Why not $10,000? "Economists" say it grows the economy, so why not just go for it?
Here's a shocker. The New York Times thinks we should spend more stimulus money. With hundreds of billions left from the first one, we need to come up with more.
Love this quote:
There were good ideas floated at the White House meeting, including bolstered federal support for efforts to retrofit and weatherize homes and public buildings. There was also talk of using government money to establishing a so-called infrastructure bank that would issue bonds to help finance big construction projects.
End quote.
Aren't those the exact same ideas and projects that his first stimulus was supposed to pay for? I thought "green jobs" and "crumbling roads and bridges" were already what the stimulus was for.
More and more government spending. Where do you think that money comes from? Obamas secret stash? Money tree? Printing press? DING DING DING!
This guy is priceless. Almost a trillion dollars on a stimulus that was supposed to create 3 million jobs, and now he's going to have a "jobs summit".
It's just a photo op to make you think he cares.
I love this quote.
It's important that we don't make any ill-considered decisions -- even with the best intentions -- particularly at a time when our resources are so limited.
End quote.
You mean like spending a couple trillion on a health care farce after spending a trillion on a stimulus farce after taking over car companies and banks while wasting a few billion on cash for clunkers while extending home buyer credits?
Stimulus working as planned in Michigan. That's the problem, it wasn't designed to create any jobs, it was designed to make more people dependant on a growing government. So ya, it's working as designed.
Partial quote:
"It looks to us like the program is unfolding much as we hoped in Michigan," said White House economic adviser Jared Bernstein.
End quote.
You'd have to be an idiot not to be either worried or angered by that ludicrous statement.
This is the predictable end result of a runaway big-spending liberal government.
We are now using "stimulus" funds to study the effect of new taxes and how to enact new taxes.
So we're using future tax dollars to figure out how to raise taxes to pay for things like the study that's being done to figure out how to raise taxes.................................
