Clinton To Replace Biden?
This would certainly shake things up! FoxNews reports:
It’s almost certainly just a case of the telephone game gone high-tech, but there’s an Internet rumor surging through inboxes and discussion boards that Joe Biden will drop out as Barack Obama’s running mate after his Oct. 2 debate with Sarah Palin — and that he’ll be replaced by Hillary Clinton on the Democratic presidential ticket.
The story line goes as follows: John McCain’s selection of Palin has generated so much interest in the Republican ticket that Obama needs to make a radical move to regain momentum. So in the days after the vice presidential candidates debate in Missouri, Biden will bow out, citing “health problems” (Biden underwent surgery in 1988 to repair two brain aneurysms). Enter Clinton.

Re: Clinton To Replace Biden?
Funny i just posted this on another forum this morning myself... I dont know if it's a rumor or not. though i am not a supporter of Clinton in any way, i do believe it would help Obama, considering McCain has Palin as a running mate and she isn't liked by many.

Re: Clinton To Replace Biden?
I liked Bill, don't care for Hillary. I also liked Gore alot and would have liked to have seen him run again.
That said, I'm a Republican and would have preferred Ron Paul.

Re: Clinton To Replace Biden?
Oh come on this is just a rumor. Further after this week it sure looks like Obama/Biden have the momentum. Palin's inability to handle questions from Katie Couric doesn't bode well for her debate either.

I agree totally. Even though I think having Clinton would have made for a very strong ticket I don't see that Obama is having thoughts on changing or removing Biden for this race.
On the other hand...I am surprised that Palin is still hanging in there. Thought by now she would have been replaced with someone that at least knew what a VP is suppose to do if elected.

Re: Clinton To Replace Biden?
History people- Bill's heath records ,off limits when Govenor, would shock the ambient world . What Clinton's did to people who know are no longer around, hmmm. Now you want to elect a commander and chief of this uneducated country that has a total of only 143 working days in Congress that never accomplised anything . Talk is cheap , especially by polititions.

Re: Clinton To Replace Biden?
pk Well I agree Palin after at first giving the McCain ticket is now becoming a major drag but it is very rare for a VP to pull out and I think that would look even worse.

Re: Clinton To Replace Biden?
Well, it's supposed to occur after Oct 2nd according to the rumor.. guess we'll see but I can't see it happening. Biden certainly can't do any worse than Palin.

Palin is such a joke, hockey mom yes, VP c'mon man get real!!!
She can be coached, but wont have it spelled out for her to read off of a card this time, Biden will eat that woman alive, i can feel it coming!
Obama is a smart man to have not picked Clinton to begin with & glad this is nothing more than rumor.

Re: Clinton To Replace Biden?
Basically every poll is moving Obama's direction. So I think we can put this whole Biden discussion to bed.

Here's a link to recent polling data specific to Wisconsin which shows Obama ahead of McCain by 5 points on average:

This should be very interesting to watch. I read that Biden will have his hands full putting up with Palin's great way of never actually answering a question. The article went on to say the best thing for Biden is to just keep on topic and give good answers and ignore how Palin is great at side stepping and able to run on about something else. In the end it will show him as the winner.
We shall wait and see.

Re: Clinton To Replace Biden?
I think staying focused on actually answering the questions and not getting rattled by your opponent enough to stray off-topic is the best route.

Palin doesn't know the meaning of that, unless of course the answer is on a card in front of her to read! I'm sooo ready!

Re: Clinton To Replace Biden?
Looks like this was just a rumor after all.. if it "was" more than just a rumor, maybe Palin's antics have made such a move a non-issue.

IMO her antics were no surprise.
She was never a threat therefore i believe it, when they say it was always a rumor.

Re: Clinton To Replace Biden?
Yeah Tina Fey did good, now Palin might be on SNL doing her best Tina Fey impression, that should be funny! but i cant see her doing as good a job as Tina did.
