Dropped the kids off this morning at school and went over and voted.

Important issues today. So please get out and VOTE!

And remember, you only pick one candidate! Word at the polls this morning was that a lot of people are picking one Democrat and one Republican. You only get three ballots to goof up!

Guess it is all in how they explain it. As soon as they gave me my ballot the lady made sure to let me know that I had only one choice...either ONE Democrat or ONE Republican. To be sure not to vote for both. Thought that was a good thing they were making sure people understood this.

I also heard that the place I voted at today was really busy compared to other times. They saw alot of voter turn out so far they said. I was glad to hear it. It's time for a change and I think alot of people feel that way.

did I select the right party
on that ballot note

did I listen to them all and make a choice
or base it on the sound of their voice

was it how they spoke
or what they said
did the gender factor
ever enter my head

was it their lofty goals
or the staus quo
was it a celebrity spokesperson
who made it all sparkle and glow

were they from the north
or were they from the south
when the vote was counted
did they bow out

when will this primary ever end
is there something to look forward to
around that bend

will any of this
make any change
or will the rich be rich
and rest stay the same

if you feel that your vote
actually does count
step up to plate
don't be left out

I took advantage of the extra ballots for screwing up. I only screwed one up, though. The second one will make the grade.
