Do you think we need to pay more taxes in Wisconsin?

Re: State Budget

NO and NO
but I didn't see how she stands on the issue. Yes the poor will be poor and yes the others will not give as much, so where in the heck does that get ya ? not at the crossroads of life? Property taxes are high and going higher, I see many families giving the do not take mesures to save the life as she is in a home at 1300 per day, what she worked for is gone, Ijust want to know what is happening outside the elderly that lost everything.

Re: State Budget

Obviously her stance is of a negative feeling toward the entire "rich" getting richer, and the "poor" getting poorer. Unless she's of the "rich" persuasion.

Perhaps some elaboration is due.

Re: State Budget

Rich per sei?...(it's French)

I know a few that are rich, as in monetarily affluent, I have friends that are rich in persona.

I don't know of 'everyone' thinking they are rich, in either regard. Please elaborate...just who is everyone?

Raise sales tax? hmmmm... no.

Re: State Budget

Our politicians have given up on effective government, and are now simply campaigning 24 hours a day, every day. It does not take much thought, it gains them more campaign money, and their base gets all energized by their foolish behavior. Meanwhile, we accept it and re-elect these people over and over again.

Until we demand that they start governing, and yes that means working with all parties, we will get nowhere.

What we saw with the last budget "go around" is just the start of things to come. No discussion of what is to be accomplished, just a wish list of more programs to please their base, more grand standing and calling their opponents "evil" (and worse).

We need to insist on effective government. Quit campaigning, and start governing, or get out, or better yet, throw them out.

1. Yes - the US government in the 1930s under Franklin Roosevelt.

2. Not more necessarily, just more equitable.

Regards,
Keith
