I love to hike a area in Green Bay called the "Baird Creek Greenway".
Baird Creek Greenway, Green Bay, WI
The most extensive area of greenspace within the Green Bay city limits lies within the Baird Creek Greenway. The Baird Creek Greenway runs approximately five kilometers along Baird Creek an covers 375 acres on the northeast side of Green Bay, WI. Along the eastern edge of the greenway, along I-43, an exposure of the Maquoketa Formation and the steep valley sides show excellent glacial features. Recreational activities including biking, walking, bird-watching, and cross-country skiing coexist and benefit a multitude of users of the Baird Creek Greenway. Trails extend through lowlands, uplands, prairie, pristine forest tracts, and a number of scenic vistas.
Re: In search of the best hiking trails in Wisconsin..
Timm's Hill Trail in South Eastern Price County starting from the Spirit Park on Stone Lake heading North towards the HIGHIST point in the State is an outstanding hike. Going thru wet lands, medows, hardwood forest mixed with dense evergreens, crossing creeks, passing by ponds and lakes all filled with birds of all kinds on a class A-1 trail with bridges and some gravel. Camping at near by Holiday Hills Camping on Hultman Lake is a real Emerald in the forest, a perfect place to start the hike. Deer, Martin, Beaver, Bear, Mink await your journy.

Where would be a good place to take the family or kids hiking in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin is so full of wonderful hiking trails, parks, woods, forest preserves, lakes with paths, bike trails, the list goes on and on.
Just a few close to our city we have Hawthone Hollow, Petrifying Springs, Walking/bike paths all over the city, Bong State Park, Sanders Park with trails through it. Paths down by the lake that are wonderful to walk on. This is just a few.
