Free Dells Camping April 27 & 28

Our friends at Dells TimberLand Camping Resort are offering free camping April 27 and 28. Check out www.dellstimberland.com/view.php?id=34 to learn more! Lending a hand to spring chores gets you free camping, food and fun with fellow campers!

We meet for coffee and donuts in the recreation hall on Saturday 4/28 then about 9:00 we head out and rake leaves. We have lots of hands and we take lots of breaks and socialize. Sometime around 11:00 we finish up for the Day. Then around 12:00 or 1:00 we serve lunch in the recreation hall or on the deck depending on weather. If you didn’t get enough socializing time yet we have a potluck dinner in the evening. We swap stories have some good food and someone wins a drawing for a 2nd free weekend. The weekend is a party with a little work thrown in.

Just got back from the free camping weekend at Dells TimberLand. What a blast! There were a lot of people to help rake, and I hardly felt like we worked that much at all! Most of the day was spent meeting other campers and eating. The lunch spread and potluck had us stuffed. If you can make it next year, I highly recommend it!

Why in the heck aren't more of us smart enough to do the free weekend?!

Work? An excuse for getting people together. Hope the camper worked good for you, too.
