We hiked. When we called we were told the Cross Country trails were not closed, but they weren't recommended unless you didn't care about your equipment. The secret of the skiers we saw...some of the trails were OK, but the skiers were using the roads! We hiked along the edges of the roads to leave a good pack for the skiers. It may have only been an an inch (and maybe that's generous), but a packed inch on pavement is pretty smooth. It was a great hike on a Saturday, just before the state went in the deep freezer.
