Wisconsin Camping List

Hi all who love to camp
I am embarking on a very ambitious winter project.
The project name is: Wisconsin Campgrounds.
Who can help? Anyone who loves camping or has knowledge of campgrounds in the State of wisconsin.
What is a scope of the project?
To get a list BY COUNTY of all the State,County,Local and Private campgrounds in Wisconsin.
If you look at my basic site I have aquired the State Campgrounds and I will be adding links soon. But I need a listing of county,local and private campgrounds. Yes I will be looking at the individual counties as I have time but it would help if other would contribute so all I need to to do is copy/paste.

What a coincidence; to attempt the same idea, on the same day. I think this is a needed forum for both available campsites and for personal rating of campsites. I use a couple of websites that list sites, but now and then I come across a private, county, or city site that isn't listed on the standard listings. Here are a couple of my most used web sites for locating information:

Thanks for the urls
Like you have said there ane many lists but few are comprehensive.
I started with the State because My wife and I prefer State campgrounds.
This is what our observation has been on camping.
Most Stet camapgrounds conatin a natural beauty as the focol point and they do not have a buisness model for PROFIT. This makes it very difficult for private campground to compete.
Couty parks are nice but few counties have the same resources as the State.

I hate to start out rating campsites because that is very subjective. What one person likes or wants another does not.
I would like to get a list with the basic services as listed in my post.
The reason I want to list them by county is to get a better picture of what that area has to offer and if for some reason a State park is full or not available others could be listed for potential use.
The other aspect is that State parks close their shower mid October. We would like to extend our camping season and perhaps there many be a few private campgrounds that are open into Novemeber and ea rlier in the spring. We love to camp and love traveling this GREAT State.

I will be adding more information to the list once it is compiled but that a future version.

I spent many hours to get this topic going and merged many of the subjects about camping into one topic. Adding another post about the same subject would be a duplicate post.

For any campground related questions it would be best just to check the county in which you want to know about. I along with Redraven have spent countless hours in building this list of facts, not opinions. Using the search button would bring up over 300 listings if the keyword entered was camping. Thank you for your opinion.
