Hello from sunny FL!
Hi ya'll,
I stumbled on this website quite by accident. I was doing a google search for a location in Wisconsin and this showed up on the results. I love the name!! No one down here knows what a bubbler is! I am a native Wisconsinite, hailing originally from Pulaski (the polka capital of the world...lol). About 5 years ago I got really tired of cold and snow and moved to Tampa, FL. I love it here but Wisconsin will always be home to me and I love to keep in touch with the people and news of our wonderful state!!!

Greetings SunnyD! I too, am a transplant here in Florida.......lived in WI until 1985-ish! I forgot what a "bubbler" was until I got onto this site! Too funny! I live in NW FL, 1/2 way between Destin and Pensacola. Let the countdown begin for the 2006 Hurricane season! I'm all stocked up and ready, I am just hoping it's a quiet one, so my new home can be rebuilt! At least this year I am finally in a rental house vs. the trailer! Mother Nature needs to lay off a bit and keep those storms going out into the Atlantic!

Wow...I know you all have had it pretty rough in the Panhandle while we down here in Tampa have been EXTREMELY lucky. I agree...let those bad boys stay out in the atlantic where they cause no one grief!

Maybe we can give ya'll hurricane reports, only if you return the favor of Blizzard reports! 8O
Does anyone have friends from FL out there? Aren't we a pain in the Winter time when we email you and tell you how warm and sunny it is??? (but it all comes back to haunt us when the storms roll in!)
Hey SunnyDinFL! Are you taking advantage of our tax-free hurricane supply shopping, this week???? I didn't know about it last week and had already bought an extra cell phone battery and 2 battery-operated fans. DARN! But, I can always use more batteries and coolers and lanterns!
Well, off to walk my dogs on the beach. (sorry) 8)

Yes Toes, I definitely plan on taking advantage of the tax free holiday on hurricane supplies.....I am not a homeowner so I don't have to worry about the big things like generators or hurricane shutters. It sure does help. But it's that time to stock up on batteries, water, flashlights, etc. Hopefully this will be a quiet year!! (We can only hope!)

Hey SunnyDin! And everyone else too...I have been lurking a lot, finally posting SOMETHING! I do enjoy the site ya'll!
I think we have made it through hurricane season 2006, ending in 23 days! YEAH! Only one scare for us here in the Panhandle, early on. They had that storm predicted to come here briefly with a bullseye on my house, then, thanks to NORTHERLY WINDS.....it was pushed due east and went into the Atlantic. I don't even remember the name of the fizzled storm, and that's unusual for us FL folks!
Great news for home-building....no storms.....much progress, I have windows and doors! Maybe I will be back in a real house by April! (um, just in time for the 2007 hurricane season)
