First, you come highly recommended by both or our 2005 Co-Moderators of the Year, RedRaven who sent you here and AJE who used to work with you (small world!).

Second, you share my same best non-internet interests ~ you're a canoer and fisherman!

Third, you share the internet interests in Forums; building online communities is just the coolest.

I met online at HuntFishCampWisconsin.com, but never in person yet...we both have found a common interest in the outdoors and plan to go fishing and canoeing sometime.
What a fun and funny guy.
I think this guy has so many forum ideas, it so great to have him here at theBubbler.
If you get a chance, try to chat with this guy sometime.

Alright, paddle on. I like the rivers and lakes, but I like them best from the shore/beach, although I spent a few years on the oceans (Pacific and Indian), along with a few of the seas that go with the oceans. I caught a shark once, trolling from the fantail/stern of an aircraft carrier.

I have talked with Brian on the phone and via email and things for the family are a little rough for their family. The family again had to return to Chicago for a emergency visit.
As information becomes available I post it ASAP.

"Update on Autumn: she is in critical condition right now. She is on life support and probably will be for the next 3 days. Spinal cord, brain,intestines have massive infections. "

Status - Still in coma and up to 14 days..Autumn needs two additional surgeries....physicians are working on controlling an infection spreading...family is dealing with issues that fluctuate as her condition changes rapidly...I will be in touch with GreenBean2 as information becomes available..any personal concerns can be directed to him via PM and he will contact you when he returns.

Yes, there is something.
I believe his family needs words of encouragement and support.
He is unable to access this site but can access his own forum post on this issue at:

I talk daily to him about her condition and feel the family may get overwhelmed by her condition if it does not improve soon.

He is out of town but when they return home they will all be exhausted and still dealing with her condition 24/7.

I believe a personal card I think would be heartfelt.

Status:
Autumn will possibly come off the respirator this weekend.
Autumn will then have surgery to place a drain tube from her brain next Monday.
On the 5th she will have surgery to replace the devices removed when she had problems this week.
We are hoping for a fast resolve on the infections which will be need to be gone before surgery should take place.
She is still in induced coma.
That is all I have for now....

Just found out that there will be another 4 surgeries for Autumn. We are going to set up some sort of fund for Autumn and will post more info once i know of it. At $8,000 a day for her room plus other costs it really takes a toll on us. Granted we have insurance but that only lasts so long. The doctors now have her on methodone for 2 weeks to help her with the pain. Her estimated date of discharge will be the friday after valentines day as of now.
