Hi, I'm Karen from Manawa. I'm married - my husband's name is Keith aka KeithyBoy. KeithyBoy and KarenBaby - friends will do that to ya. I have two children from a previous relationship (but Keith has helped me raise them since they were 3 and 5). Logan is going to be 13 in January; Caitlin will be 11 in December. Together, Keith and I have one child, Morgan. Morgan is diagnosed with autism. She turned 4 in August.
We have 6 horses (Dusty, Malinda, Jake, Fly, Bam, Lil' Fly) and 1 pony(Tony The Pony). We also have one colt named Hawk but he's for sale so I don't really count him - I'm not feeding him if I dont' count him, right?
We also have about 35-40 goats - and yes, I can name them all. Some of our goats are a breed called boer goats - they are a meat type breed. WE also have a handful of dairy goats - nubians mostly.
We have 10 dogs. I breed Miniature Dachshunds - my male's name is Buster. His harem consists of Angel, Lacey, Trey and Porky. The three Beagles are Christy, Betty and Bobbi. Ellie is an All American Sporting/Herding/Guarding/Frogging Dog - she's one of a kind. Millie is our English Bulldog. Let me rephrase that - Millie is my husband's English Bulldog. Maybe I'll blog some Millie stories - they'll be sure to make you laugh until you cry.
We have numerous cats. Smudge, Snuggles, Cat Cat and Mystery Cat have decided the front porch is their home - they'll slip in the house for a bit and then go back out. Ratchet, Lucy, Coffee Cat, Sophie and Henry are barn cats. We have a handful of barn cats that are aloof and don't have names. They pretend they don't belong to me, I pretend I'm not feeding them.
My interests include horses, barrel racing, trail riding, goats, 4H, dogs, children and family, and autism. Lately, I've been learning alot about autism.
I used to be a license vet technician but not I"m a stay at home mom and general critter care taker. My husband is a union bricklayer.

Thanks! Yeah, when we bought our own place our critter population really exploded. Unfortunately (sp?), we are having a bit of a hard time money-wise lately so we are having to cut back. I'm hoping to cut back on the goats to about 25 - but I really don't want to send them to the sale barn - the usually go for slaughter and most of what is available for sale are breeding and show animals. We have the colt for sale but I'm also considering selling Bam - she's like an extra - but again, finding a good home for an animal you care about is tough sometimes.

Yes, I think you will find the bubbler forums to your liking and alot of places to post stories about your 'pets'. I know I will look forward to reading them.

Hmmm, Are you taking in any more animals. I have had the pleasure of 2 stray's coming along and a daughter that cant resist. One is declawed and I assume to be fixed. The other is about 7 month's old, we found her in the garage when she was super small, so we had to bottle feed her. I am going to give my adds a few more week's then they are going to the shelter. Or do you know of anyone that is looking for a cat?

I know it's late, but "WOW" ~ what a great introduction!
