Hello All,

I'm a fairly new member and Keith suggested I stop by the forum to introduce myself. I grew up on the prairie near Arlington, just 25 minutes north of Madison. I attended UW-Stevens Point and graduated with a BS degree in 1992. I know that dates me! I then lived and worked in Fort Worth, Texas for 14 years but moved back in late 2006. In February of 2007, I married a childhood friend, Glenn Puntney, and am now a busy step-mom to his two, energetic boys who live with us. They (and we!) are active in baseball, football and basketball as well as 4H. We reside on the Arlington prairie on the Puntney's 100-year-old family farm. The Bubbler is a cool site and I'm enjoying exploring it. If you ever have any problems accessing the site you can rest assured Keith will get to the bottom of it. Thanks for your help Keith. Glad to be onboard again!

Hi Kristen,
Yes, my husband is very proud that the farm has been in the family almost 100 years (I think we're at 98). He LOVES the farm and he looks forward to passing it on to his two boys some day. The old house has been torn down and replaced with a new home. The buildings are newer as well. Not much remains of the original structures on the property. But since you asked about pics I should see if the family has any pics dating back to it's beginnings. It'd be neat to get some copies made to keep with the farm. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi Pam
sorry for the late welcome. I was struck with computer issues for a few weeks.

Your farm sounds awesome. I'm also in an old farm house built in 1898. I've got the old timber logs, now covered by siding.....not by my doing. I bought the house that way. If you go in my basement you can see all the logs and the wood pins. When I had heat vent run into certain rooms, they had a hard time cutting because the walls and floor were so thick.
