Hello from Toronto (Canada, that is)
Hi!
I am an original Wisconsinite, but have recently moved to Toronto.
I sure do miss a lot of things I took for granted in Wisconsin, like the Friday night fish fries and people who talk normal!
I was born in Sparta ( a long time ago...), and lived in Cashton until I was 11 years old. My family moved to Janesville then, and I graduated from GS Parker High School in 1972.
I decided to see the world, so after a year at U-Rock, I joined the Army, and saw.....Texas and Illinois!
Decided to get out of the Army and went to the UW and graduated from the School of Pharmacy in 1981. Too bad we didn't have sports then (just kidding!) except for hockey....Go Badgers!
I moved around our great state and worked as a pharmacist in a few places (know where Wonewoc is? LOL), from 1982 to 1998. Then, upon the urging of some friends from Akron, I moved to Ohio, hoping to travel the Eastern US and see the BIG cities. After 8 years of that, I decided to experience the big city life internationally, so I moved to Toronto (to a warmer climate!). Now, Canadians sure are a polite bunch, but they talk funny. They don't even know what a bubbler is!
But my heart and family is still in Wisconsin! And I have managed to convince my Canadian family and friends to cheer for da Badgers (for some reason, they like hockey the best, dunno why).
So, being a bit homesick, I stumbled onto this website, and felt right back at home again. Love the "You are a Wisconsinite if..." page. So here I am again, if only in spirit! And nice to be back among my own, donchaknow!

Thanks kmfarm and CarolsCritterCare for the wonderful welcome
CCC, I have 4 critters, 2 cats and 2 dogs. The dogs are: a 50 lb mix (looks like part greyhound) and a 10 lb Papillon. Those two are the best of buddies! Both are 4 1/2 yrs old. The cats... 1 is a 3 1/2 year old calico-tabby and the other is an 8-month old devil kitty rescued from the Toronto Humane Society. She is a holy terror, very small (was the runt, I think) and very hairy. Those are my critters.
I've been looking around thebubbler and am having a marvelous time! I'm glad I found this place

Welcome to theBubbler!
It's good to have you here, donchaknow!
Thanks for giving us a wonderful introduction. Great start on your Member page, too. Just came from there.
We've got a few regular once-Wisconsinites here. One in Florida, one in Louisiana and one in Orange County California come to mind. I really must start a Forum for people who call it theBubbler but aren't living here now (probably in the Counties Category of the Forums).
Anyhoo ~ thanks for joining us. I hope you enjoy many happy returns.
Regards,
Keith

Toronto? We went on a vacation couple of summers ago to see the Niagara Falls and then spent several wonderful days in Toronto! Got lost a few times trying to get around the city but loved every minute of being there. lol
We toured the Casa Loma at the same time that Tia and Tamera Mowry was filming their Disney movie 'Twitches'. We were able to watch on the edge of the movie set as they worked. When they finally took a break they came out and talked for awhile and let us take pictures of them with our kids. It was the total highlight of our vacation if you asked our children! lol
We also found a great place to eat at Frankie Tomatto's, An all-you-can-eat Italian buffet. Oh how I would love to just go back to Toronto just for dinner again! lol We had so much fun there that we ate there again the next night.
My youngest daughter spent time this past Jan. in Quebec Canada (winter festival) with her french club. She loved it up there also. She didn't want to come home! I'm hoping sometime soon we can come back up, (and eat dinner at Frankies!).
Hopefully we will see you on the forums soon.

yesterdays buzz words
are tomorrows cliche's
you might have lived a lifetime
or just been born today
you were put here for a reason
though reason may not be clear
simply share with us
what is on your mind
and what you hold dear
tomorrow may never come
and yesterday has gone away
what you have is right now
what you have is just this day
