Finding Members in Your Area / With Your Interests

We're posting this to better enable Members to find other Members in their area and Members with similar interests.


To Find Members by Location in the Forums - SEARCH

To find theBubbler.com Members by location in the Forums, do the following:

In the left navigation, or in the black nav bar, click on Forums

On the main Forums page, click on Members

When the Members list comes up, click on "Location" TWICE. The list you get will be in reverse alphabetical order.

Use the numbers above and below the list to scroll through a few pages that will show you Members by location (though a bunch of Members just list "Wisconsin" as their location...?!).


To Find Members by Location in the Forums - COUNTIES

We're adding a new thread to every County Forum today:
"Post here if you live in (Whatever) County"

Simply click on the Forum for the County you live in, then click on the subject line 'Post here if you live in (Whatever) County"

Read about other Members who live in your county. Click on the 'Profile' icon at their post to go to their Member page. Sign their guestbook if you like, just to be sociable and introduce yourself.

Click 'Reply' on the County Forum thread and add a little introduction of yourself. Be sure to click "Notify me when a reply is posted" and so you'll get an email whenever another Member adds to the thread.


To Find Members with Your Interests

You can also search members another way from your Member Profile:

When you're logged in, click on "Your Account" (upper left, under logo).

That takes you to your Member Page. At that page click on 'Search Members'

On the search page, enter a keyword as simply as possible. Instead of camping, enter camp. Instead of horseback riding, enter horse.

Another way to find Members with similar interests is to go to areas of the Forums that interest you and get involved. Same with the classifieds.

Glad you're liking it! The videos will help everyone learn a lot FAST.

WisMusic will come into its own. Just saw a new Member sign up at theBubbler.com today ~ imgmusic ~ that I'll bet came through WisMusic and the new free Wisconsin music classifieds here.

I gave imgmusic a tip that WisMusic is there. I provided a link. I have friends in the music business, from Wisconsin, on my 'myspace' that I've also given the link to both theBubbler, and Wismusic. I also did some rah rah for the other Wisconsin sites offered through theBubbler.

Believe the new theBubbler.com will have 'Groups' so we can give Members the option of belonging to a horse lovers group, for example.
