Share ways to promote theBubbler in this thread!

I've left theBubbler up and changed the homepage to theBubbler on computers at:

Discovery World Museum
State Fair
several Libraries
Clients and prospects offices (with permission)
Friends houses
Relatives homes

and elsewhere, I'm sure.

I also leave theBubbler business cards at:

- gas stations by the register
- the free papers rack at the grocery store (inserted and with 'Free Classifieds' sticking out
- interstate rest stops with all the Wisconsin travel brochures
- restaurants by the register

I rarely go to a bar or restaurant without handing cards out to anyone and everyone, advising them to "Check it out and if you like it, tell all your friends. If you don't, don't say anything."

In addition, I've posted about theBubbler in my signature file at about 50 or 100 other forums.

I've also spoken about theBubbler at networking meetings, Chambers of Commerce meetings and more.

I also have links to theBubbler in all my email signature files.

We also cross-link to theBubbler.com in the footer of the site map of client's sites.

The biggest cross-linking is at all of the sites that are part of www.WisNetwork.com!

I have a link to theBubbler on my MSN profile. I'm not a 'bar dweller', or tavern frequenter, but I do tell the drunks I see to check out theBubbler. :lol:

Yes - I list theBubbler.com on a half dozen or dozen social networking sites, too.

Funny bar story. I was at the bar by the airport in Black River Falls. A full house on a Friday night, maybe 80 people. The last table...I almost instantly regretted even approaching. The first guy slurred, "There's no such thing as free!" A couple of buddys were about to join him when the fourth guy, also feeling no pain, said, "Wait a minute. I was just here at this site today. This is awesome!!!" You had to be there. That was fun.

I have done most of these ideas listed and have very good luck with all of them.

I can say I have brought over 500 members here using these techniques since I signed up myself.
Many thank me for showing them the site and other go off and explore on their own but seem to return to the site again and agian.

I reeeeeeeeally like this one.

One: we make it clear to Members that, as a condition of signing up, they will get up to twelve emails a year - one a month.

We already do this (suggest that we may send as many as one email per month...though we've only sent about five in the last four years), but we should be way blunt about it. People don't have to read them, but they ought to because we've got enough going on to fill a monthly email, what with all the sister sites and this one.

That would give us several thousand good reads a month.

NEXT STEP: Each month or quarter, we have a special day, like a New Member Day, or a Tell-A-Friend Day, or a All Member Login Day (and Time...to reach a new 'high' for number of concurrent visitors).

We promote those days through the All Member Email, the Water Cooler News, the Home Page Articles, the WisEvents.com calendar, and the Forums and Classifieds.
