Ways to promote theBubbler.com! - Page 2

Thanks, Brain. Made this up today. I'll have someone upload it Thursday or sooner. It will need to be trimmed with a scissors to make the tabs easy to tear off. Uses just a little yellow and blue for highlights. I'm going to print a couple of dozen to start just to keep in the car with me to hand out wherever I can. I'll have to keep a roll of tape handy too.

Can't wait to walk into someplace I've never been before and see one of these hanging up.

Well here we go again...lol... I am sure I wrote a comment one time about putting a few cards with the bubbler up in the grocery store by the door where my daughter was selling candy bars. The next time we came back the cards were gone. The last time I did it and checked a few days later all but one was taken.

Thought this was one good way to promote the bubbler. The thing is that I don't see this comment on here. Is there another place on here talking about how to promote the bubbler?

I think I need a vacation. lol

There may have been, pk. I remember it. Thanks. I may have closed that thread - pointing it to this one to keep everything in one place.

This print out idea is similar, except we save the expense of postage and our Members, thankfully, pick up a bit of cost themselves for printing. Pennies or quarters each instead of dollars for printing plus many more dollars for postage on our part. Doesn't mean I'd abandon the idea of sharing cards...especially for Mods and heavy forum posters.

I'd like to see us max out that all-time high again. When? If nothing else I'd like to plan a day or two a year to have "all hands on deck". Hopefully these could be times to unveil new features and the like as well. One of those days could be Earth Day next April. A fitting time for the kinds of Members we have here to participate. Hope we can consider a day in the Fall, too. If you have any ideas on this, please add them to this thread.

Why wait until this fall or next Spring? How about making plans to push past that number this Spring? I've been watching this number for quite sometime wishing we could push it higher! lol

How about declaring a full all over the state 'bubbler day'?

Or better yet, what was the date when thebubbler.com was born?

When was the first bubbler ever made? Maybe that could be a day to declare as 'bubbler day'?

Pick a day that goes along with the bubbler in some way and declare it the day that everyone has to log on. Make it a contest every year to see if we can beat the year before's number.

The first water drinking fountain was invented by a guy named Luther Haws, in 1905. Haws was a sanitary inspector for the city of Berkely California. He noticed the school children drinking from a tin cup, that was chained to a sink, and knew it wasn't a sanitary situation. He also was a plumbing contractor, and sheet metal worker. He went back to his shop, and with spare parts he had laying around the shop, came up with the invention.
Having Jim Doyle declare a state wide "theBubbler Day" might be kinda cool, though.

Item 10 in that list is This "Free Classifieds Flyer" that you can print and take to local venues to put up. You may want to take a scissors to the tabs first.
