Forum traffic picking up nicely! - Page 2

This post makes one hundred and ten - 110 - in less than 24 hours!

That's very close to the busiest days ever, except back in the dueling posts days of RedRaven and GreenBean2 about a year ago. Many of those posts were repeats across the County forums (same post in each County), though many of those posts also laid the foundation for the activity we're experiencing today.

I had a busy day yesterday. 50 or 60 of that 110 are courtesy of yours truly. Perhaps 15 or 20 in "Unanswered Posts" and another dozen in replies to posts for new Mods. I learned some neat things along the way. Plus a dozen in the Milestones and Mods only Forums. A few long-winded posts in areas of interest and some remarks in less frequently (for me) viewed forums, plus a dozen County repeats (updates to Events) comprised the rest.

On that note, I've also begun moving some County threads with no replies to the (Public) Archives. I've split some replies into new topics in the County Forums, too. I believe that County Forums with a few categories are better than County Forums with a dozen-plus categories and no replies.

In any case, with the help of some regulars and a post here and there by relative newbs we did more posts yesterday than we often did in a week - or as many as in a month - over a year ago. That's good to see, and fun to be a part of.

I've been doing this report weekly, more or less, for a while. Well, last Saturday found me out of town and this Saturday will find out of town family here (yeah!) so I'm good with reporting today.

Good progress on posts ~ up nearly 500 in just under two weeks.

Perhaps more significant ~ we have well over eighty new Members in the last 13 days. Always good to see more Wisconsinites joining us here. Sooner or later a number of them find their way to the Forums for more good local conversation.

I use "myspace" to invite Wisconsin Musicians to join the WisMusic site, and send theBubbler link along with the WisMusic link. I lost my harp in the recent move.

One thing that I noticed works is putting cards up on the bulletin boards at stores with thebubbler.com on it. We do alot of candy bar sales at the local stores (fundraisers) and I will put some cards up. When we go back in I notice a few missing each time.

Another idea is to leave a card with thebubbler.com on it when ever you eat out. Leave it on the table or with your tip. Or even write it on a clean napkin and leave it in the washrooms of stores or anywhere to visit.

I am forever telling everyone to visit me here and I think word of mouth is great also.

Now if we could buy magnets to put on our cars...I would do that.
Maybe something that says, I mod at thebubbler.com (for the mods) or check out the forums at...or just big letters, thebubbler.com. When ever I see someone with a website on their car I check it out to see if it is something good.

Agreed.

Amazon has a gold box on their home page ~ a "sticky" selling feature. I learned more about the 'gold box' in a book called The Tipping Point and I believe we'll use the Gold Box tool on the home page to feature video tutorials including an immediate introduction to/overview of theBubbler!

Should be no problem for us to do 69 posts before the 19th...I checked and on April 10th I had 950 working on the 1000 milestone and I made the 1,000 last night.

My fingers are tired but I think with everyone together 69 can be met.
Especially now that Carol has figured out how to get pictures on, there's no stopping her now! lol lol

LOL!!! I should go post some of my birds..... Can't believe how easy it is and I know why I was having issues before. It was because my photos were not on the web anywhere. But once I joined that photo bucket life became easier.....in my own little world.

I'm surpised that we're nearly 100 posts past that already!

Great to see at least a half dozen new (and old) Members introducing themselves in the Welcome Center in the last week, too.

Some Member Intros that are still unlocked are way down the page. If there's anyone you haven't greeted, please greet them to bring them up the page. I locked those intros that are a couple of months old to make it easier for those of us who greet new Members to focus on the newer, unlocked one
