New to the area

Not only am I new to the area of Walworth and Waukesha Counties,
but I'm new to the state of Wisconsin. I lived in Utah for the first 36
years of my life and moved here just a few years ago, to do something different with my life (there are more details, but I'd have to write a book). I'm currently living in Mukwonago in Waukesha County, but I've recently purchased a chunk of land in Walworth County in the East Troy township. I admit not doing homework, as I was so anxious to snag this nice wooded piece of property....
My question is, how are the taxes in Walworth as compared to neighboring counties? Any goofy laws I need to know about?
Are there really no emission tests for vehicles in Walworth?
Any other minor tidbits of info about this area-- no matter how silly
or insignificant--would be appreciated. Remember, I'm new to this
part of the country, so I'm ....basically dumb.
I notice that there are very few posts on the forums at this site.
I know it's a fairly new site as well. Let's get this show on the road.

Actually, I grew up in the Mukwonago area.
Unfortunately, the only perspective I can give you is that of a teenager, (I moved out of that community when I was 18) probably not what you're looking for.
You might be right about emissions in Walworth County. They have the "Good Gas" out there as well. (Non-Reformulated)

They do not have emmissions testing in Walworth. I live in Elkhorn and drive a 1981 Eagle. Good thing!
