Five scams you may not know about

For 8 straight years Identity Theft has been the number one complaint. With a ton of scams out there on the net it's harder and harder to know all of them. Here is a list of some that you may not think about but ones to really be aware of.

The chatroom bot scam is the one I found most interesting. I use to visit a local website here in our city and use their chatroom to chat with those that I knew. From time to time as a joke the webmaster of the site would throw 'bots' on the chat room. It was really strange when you figured it out that the messages were actually coming from something other than a 'real' person. I never felt comfortable with it and didn't think of it as very funny. Usually we always could tell almost right away or he would let us know that it was there but now I wonder...did we always know? ummmmmm

Good thing I never, ever, visit that chat room anymore. You can never be to careful.

You're right, the chatroom bot doesn't sound like fun...just sounds a bit creepy.
