Rainbow colored screen suddenly
Ok why would my monitor turn from normal to shades of the rainbow?
Lime green being on the bottom as a green task bar and then thru the shades of the rainbow with purple on top?
How do I fix this? Got call into Smart Kid, but thought I'd ask here as well cuz who knows when he'll get over here.

That don't sound good Carol. Probably need a new monitor. To bad your not close to me, I've got two perfectly good 17" montitors here I'm not using.

Smart Kid had me reboot...it did nothing. Then Smart kid had me go into display settings and read what was there.....all seemed fine.
Then Smart kid had me reboot. Still a Rainbow.
Then Smart kid had me go into setting and do a few different things.....all still fine.
Hung up phone with Smart kid.
Turned off monitor and went and got a soda. Came back, turned on monitor and Rainbow is gone!!
I have NO CLUE what I did or what was wrong............Smart kid just laughed and said he dont know either....
but at least for now things seem fixed

could be a warning of bad things to come for your monitor. 
Think I would be saving my pennies real fast to buy a new one soon.
