Free Podcasts at iTunes.com - no iPod required
Just a tip for people who like technology: go to iTunes.com, download the free software (for Mac or PC) and browse the PodCasts!
I've known iPod owners who didn't realize that 99% of the podcasts are free. The more you look, the more you'll find, from the BBC and National Public Radio (NPR) to stuff about Basic Brewing, Video, and all sorts of hobbies and technologies.

You can play all this stuff right on your computer - and it is free.
Regards,
Keith

Can I load these podcasts on my mp3 player?
I like the audio books...I have a couple books on CD, that I copied to my media player, and load them on my mp3 player. I noticed that I can't sync music from my iTunes player to my windows media player. I had to make a playlist on the iTunes player, and copy it to some CDs, then load them on my hard drive, with has the windows media player set as the default media player. I check all other mediums, and this was the only solution I was able to find.

Various websites offer free podcasts. I have downloaded them from earthfiles.com... EarthFiles . Find extensive information on the Mars Rover project, various NASA projects.
And, if you're into the crop circle phenom, you'll find the most up to date reports from Linda Moulton Howe.

http://www.apple.com/itunes/ to download the software first.
Not really a URL then...just navigating within the iTunes program.
