Living in the sticks, we had no high speed internet available to us. No cable, not DSL, no wireless providers.
Satellite was the only alternative. After much research, I decided on the new technology of WildBlue. The "spot beam" technology was different from what anyone else had.
It's been about a year now, and I can say I'm very happy with the service. Speeds have been very reliable and consistant. I have not had any downtime from snow, rain, clouds in all this time. Price is not bad. There are 3 different speed rates to purchase. The only downside is the limits put on bandwidth usage. But I have to say, being an "average" user, I don't use 10% of what I'm allowed. The only complaints you'll here are from the folks who like downloading to the extreme.
