That depends on what you call afforable.
I found two software products worth noting
one is Paragon. This tool is very good but I am sure expensive. It has helped me reformat,repartition drives without using dos. As I stated before I am getting dos deficcient and lazy. This tool alos looks at surface quailty not to mention other disk integrity functions.

The other one is easy migrate tool that will clone a drive to a new one. Note the drive Mustbe the exact same space.

If all you are concerned about is data then run back-ups
but remember you should defragmentate you drive on a periodic time frame to maitain a more optim drive and the less seek time the better as like anything the more you work , the faster it will wearout.
