I have a suggestion, how about member webcams. You could have a page that shows all the webcams. You could have personal webcams, city cams, well you get the idea.
First thing that comes to mind is chat cams! That would be fun.
No thanks! lol lol I can just see me late at night forgetting the web cam is on and falling asleep with my head smashed to the computer screen while on chat...and I don't know Keith,,there's been a few times we wondered if you fell asleep while chatting. You sure you want to visit the idea of chat cams??

What do ya think..
Right on Ken!! Great idea. I have a web cam...dont always turn it on though.
I sometimes use it for the critters more then "me".
I'd really like to figure out how to install a Coon Cam down by the coon pens.
Problem is I could see my cables getting chewed thru all the time.....
Third, I can see a critter cam from some members....
Neat idea.
Regards,
Keith
I have been known to drag my whole computer outside and set it up for the day just to cam the pigs and other critters here...LOL, lots of work, but I dont know how else to do it so the wildlife dont eat my cables at night time.

If you fall asleep infront of the web cam PK I promise I will NOT cover you in shaving cream....LOL or paint you up with make up..... LOL.....
I'll just let you sleep.
mounting it secure enough so the coons dont run off with it. If it's there, it's theirs!
You could build a box with a glass or plexiglas window, mount the box to a wall or pole and put the webcam inside. Then just run the power cord. They also make clear domes that cover the cam.
You could also go with a night vision camera with sound. They also have the option to use the dome. You can keep an eye on your critters day or night and hear them too

LOL The last time I made it down to at least Green Bay was maybe 5 years ago. I don't think I'll make it down to your part of wisconsin anytime soon lol.
I'll tell ya what, If you do plan on getting a cam for outdoors I could help you install / troubleshoot any problems online.
Carol, if I can make a suggestion: upload your pics to Tinypic.com, then paste the forum bbcode URL into your posts as it will automatically resize your pics to a manageable size. But boy, those are some cute skunks!
There is a version of our flash chat that supports the addition of webcams.
Would be interesting to see video feeds from the OnYourMark workday perhaps?
Two caveats however: webcam streams are resource hogs unless you stream from a third party and embed the stream and webcams need to be continually moderated for inappropriate behavior, etc.

Second is to find all the existing cams out there that we could tie in to a Wisconsin cam page.
