"Featured Member" tag

Hey! I was a featured member once. How come I don't have one of them cool "featured member" tags by my name?

He is just kidding kmfarm there are no fees or extra hoops you have to jump through. You only have to stand on your head for 5 minutes in a snow bank. *grin*

I looked back through the archives and I only see that you had a featured forum thread...not that you were a featured member.

Do you know about when it was? I can check further back if I know about when you were featured.

I often wondered this for myself before but just never asked. So thanks for bringing this up. I remember way back when 'pk' was a featured member on the water cooler news? But never had the 'tag' for this either.

So I just thought you had to do something else to receive this title and then I read this: lol

I did fall backwards into deep snow when I took a really cool picture going on the side of a tree in the middle of a snowstorm at 11:00 at night one time. The snow coming down was like baseballs and the tree trunk was going up into the dark and full of white...really good picture...but I did not actually stand on my head.

Does that maybe count?? lol lol please....

That helps a lot. We were wondering why many of the mods weren't featured members. I guess they didn't all get transferred over.

I will have mike look into it.

I looked into it and it looks like some of the members were not pulled over. I added a few manually and if this comes up again we can go from there. I will be adding a page that lists all of our featured members soon.

I never had it on before not even on the old site. Just thought it was for something else.

Just bringing this up again in case there's anyone else from the olden days that needs to be recognized.

We've got some new people we're training on the Water Cooler News features and this will be a good reminder (of the importance) of this feature!

Just got another neat idea on this: We should show "Featured Members" in the Memberlist at theBubbler - Members List

Not the big icon in the PostBit (the area under people's names and avatars with their post count, etc. that shows up next to their forum posts), but a checkmark of sorts so that featured members could be sorted (just as you can sort members by join date and post count now).
