i live on the boarder of richland county in vernon but i spend much time in richland center area. the whole county is flat out beutiful. tons of amazing rock formations. just drive right down highway 80 to rock bridge its one of the most intresting natural rock formations there is. richland center is also a very nice town. ive worked there of and on for a while and do much business with the locals. in fact i plan a move there in the future.

Richland Center? Lots to do there!
I have relatives who live in Richland County. My grandmother lives in Rockbridge. When I was a young boy, I'd spend the summers up there fishing and exploring the countryside. There's some good trout fishing in the Pine River, and even better in the Little Willow between Rockbridge and Ithaca. As was stated before, you have the Natural Bridge park in Rockbridge. You can climb up there and walk around, and go back as far as you can...There's also Elephant Trunk Rock, I believe on Hwy 58 north of Ithaca. The hills are what sets Richland County out from the rest though. Beautiful rolling hills and limestone ledges cover the countryside. Great place to ride a motorcycle through. The hunting is excellent also, although it has been 7-8 years since I have hunted around there...mushrooms, mushrooms, and more mushrooms if you know where to look in May....and no, I won't give out any specific locations, sorry! How I would love to live in Richland County, if I didn't have my roots planted deep where I am now...perhaps I can retire there eventually.

Ya, it's been a while since I've gone that way...I live in New Holstein, NE of Fond du Lac....used to run through Portage and Loganville to get to RC...now I've been running 151 to Sun Prairie and cutting 19 over to 14 south of Mazo....nice to be able to bypass Madtown like that....as much as I love RC, it's too bad the economy isn't better over there...I'd love to live over in that part of the state...and I'd hate to have to commute 2 hours each day to Madison for work...especially having to take 14 that way every day....although it's nice that they have passing lanes put in now....

half my freinds live in mazo right now, ive been there almost every weekend for the last 3 months :P 14 feels alot faster but i think there almost needs to be an interstate around that way. its pretty heavy traffic. as for RC its gonna get a small boost seats inc just bought KTI's old building and the yogurt place by vetesniks (the car part) is revamping bigtime. not only that but they just put in a sears in the old wallmart, things are changing.
