Time:
2 hours
Difficulty:
Easy
Serving Size:
4
Description
I just love chicken-and really enjoy trying new recipes. This was a keeper for my family. The aroma is pleasant. And the flavor is terrific, actually hard to describe. I guess a sort of BBQ flavor. At any rate it's gooood!!
Ingredients
  • 8 chicken thighs
  • 1-bottle 8oz french salad dressing
  • 1- 16oz can cranberry sauce
  • 1- package lipton dry onion soup mix
  • 1-2 T crisco ( for frying
  • flour ( to coat chicken
Preparation
No prior preparation is required.
Instructions
  1. Start with the 8 uncooked chicken thighs-rinse well with cold water.
  2. coat chicken with flour-fry in skillet with melted crisco-just to give the chicken a nice golden brown appearance. Then place in a 9x13 glass baking dish, cover with foil-Bake 350* 1 hour- meanwhile prepare sauce by mixing the french dressing, cranberry sauce and soup mix-in bowl mix well- keep in fridge until the chickens baked 1 hour- remove chicken from oven-transfer chicken into 2nd baking dish to remove from grease. with chicken transfered into clean baking dish- pour sauce over chicken-recover with foil and continue baking at 350* 1 more hour. Melts in your mouth..
