Adobong Manok (Chicken Adobo - Philippines)

Time: 45 - 60 min. Difficulty: Easy Serving Size: 4 / 5	Description This is a Filipino recipe for a great chicken dish. Best Served with Jasmine Rice.
Ingredients
1 kg. Chicken (cut into serving pieces) ½ cup vinegar ½ cup soy sauce 1 clove garlic, minced 3 potatoes (chopped into large cubes) ¼ tsp salt 1 tbsp. sugar (use more or less depending on how sweet you like it) ¼ tsp. ground pepper 1 bay leaf 10 pcs. Peppercorns (whole or roughly ground) 1/3 cup cooking oil
Preparation
No prior preparation is required.
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and let stand for 30 minutes. Simmer and cover lightly for an hour or until meat is tender. Drain and set aside sauce. Heat cooking oil in a skillet. Reheat sauce for a few more minutes. Pour sauce over meat and serve.
