San Francisco Chops

Description
Very easy and delicious.
Ingredients
  • 4 bone-in pork loin chops
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup red wine or chicken broth
  • 2 Tbl. brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 Tbl. cornstarch
  • 1 Tbl. cold water
  • Hot cooked rice
Preparation
No prior preparation is required.
Instructions
  1. In small saucepan, put soy sauce, wine or broth, brown sugar and red pepper flakes; cook and stir until sugar is dissolved. Place chops in slow cooker and pour sauce mixture over chops. Cook on low for 7-8 hours in slow cooker. Remove chops. Combine cornstarch and cold water until smooth; gradually stir into slow cooker. Return chops to slow cooker. Cook another 30 minutes or until slightly thickened. Serve over rice.

This does sound good. Think I will also try it sometime soon.

I love cooking out of the slow cooker. It always comes out tender and it's great to have the dinner ready by the time you want to eat. If you are running late you don't have to worry about it burning or over cooking.
