Planked Pork Tenderloin
Author: demon71
Time:
25 minute
Difficulty:
Easy
Serving Size:
2
Description
This is a recipe that I have made several times. It's a lot of fun to make and the presentation makes for great conversation. The dinner is served directly on the planks and the meal stays hot during the entire meal. These are planks that I have made but anyone that has a little bit of skill could do the same thing with a couple of hunks of cherry wood.
Ingredients
  • Pork tenderloin
  • Praline mustard glaze
  • vegtables or rice of choice
Preparation
No prior preparation is required.
Instructions
  1. Soak the cherry planks for about a 1/2 hour. While the planks are soaking preheat the oven to about 375F. Place the planks in the oven for about 20 minutes after they have finished soaking. This will preheat the planks and provide a moist surface that will help keep everything moist during the cooking process. After preheating, place the pork tenderloins on the plank and cook for about 20 minutes. Place the precooked rice or vegatables on the plank and continue cooking untill the pork reaches 150 degrees or whatever your preference is. Remove from the oven and glaze the tenderloins with a praline mustard glaze. Serve on the planks. You can email me for additional information on how to make the planks or way you can get the glaze. The plank shown in the photo was used just once. The longer they are used the darker the plank gets. be creative. I have planks that are 5 years or more old. Clean up should be done right after you finish eating. The planks are still hot and can be cleaned easily.
