I like film too, but I can better afford digital
Interesting post!
Was just wishing I had time to stop a couple of days ago by some wetlands off of Hwy 164 about 5 miles north of I-94. The snow and ice on the marsh looked like diamonds.
I have a few decent lightning and tornado shots somewhere. Some great shots of the Black River from thirty years ago. Film, from the bluffs. Always liked the idea of trophy hunting with a camera, though I can't say I have any of those...yet.
Did some interesting macros when I was young and would like to do more of that.
This is just the kind of post that reminds me how much I should focus (pun intended) on getting some quality shutterbug time in when I'm out.

Milwaukee Photography Meetup Group
There's a good photography group online that meets in person (usually in the Waukesha County area) at www.Meetup.com
The group is run by a photography pro. Some meetings at the Studio.
Regards,
Keith

Doing what you gotta do
I like spritzin' a little 'buck scent' on, and sitting against a tree in the woods for some wildlife photos. I've had many deer approach. Wolves will come around, but if they see you, they'll run off. I recommend a mossy oak camoflage. 35 mm cameras are good for this type of photography, but a digital with a built in zoom is less cumbersome.
