Birch trees

Hey everyone,
I looking for birch tree stands in Wisconsin. I have seen pics of young stands, and even though they will make beautiful pics, I was hoping for a mature stand to photograph. I love Birch trees! If anyone will be traveling the northwest shore of Lake Superior, be ready for countless opportunities to photograph Birch trees and waterfalls. Good hunting.

I can see Lake Superior from my window, not really but if I go outside and walk about 50 feet I can. There's lots of birch trees around this area.

When you mention northwest shore of Lake Superior are you referring to Washburn or Bayfield? Otherwise the next northwest shore would be the shore of Minnesota.

Just hit some back roads around this area and you'll find many birch trees.
By the way, when your out looking for trees you may come across a deer or two, maybe even a bear.

Thanks for the reply. Regarding the northwest shore of Superior, I was speaking of Minnesota, Lutsen, Two Harbors, etc. Ashland will be on my travel list.
Thanks for the caution about bears too. There is an old joke...

At a hiking seminar an avid hiker told a group of budding hikers that, in order to avoid bears, you should be noisy walking, wear little bells on your shoes, and carry pepper spray.
Later a Forest Ranger spoke about inspecting bear skat to identify what bears are in the area. He said a black bear will have berry seeds and brown bear will have berry seeds and some small bones. He then said, we don't know why but grizzly bear skat usually have little bells in it and smells like pepper spray.

Yesterday I drove around southern Door County. The further I drove north, the more birch trees I found. I also discovered large, mature birch tree stands at Potawatomie State Park, they were absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, for me, they were interspersed with aspen and iron wood trees. Since I'm looking for a stand of just birch trees I wasn't able to get any photos. Thanks for the image search hint. I'm going there right now!
