Very nice. Sadly I don't have a lot of fall color pics. I guess when you see it every year you just don't think about taking pics because it will be there next year. I know it's a lame excuse.
I think water reflections make great photos. I'm always looking at the reflections of water as I drive by or ride bike around. I once took a photo of some fallen leaves and a branch in the water and it sure reminded me of a Monet painting. I commented on this to someone and she thought the same thing.

I walk through much of the same trails each year and find the colors are different every year. Depends on the coldness, the amount of sun etc. I have one place in Illinois I visit at least once a week and each time I go there is new views in the same area.
Most likely it looks the same if one isn't really 'looking' but it really is so interesting to watch the colors change so many ways even in the same places.
I guess that is why it's my favorite time of the year to take pictures, I can be lazier and go to the same location over and over and the 'canvas' changes for me each time I go.
What gorgeous pictures Patti! I really like the one with the reflections in the water too. I will have to surf through my pictures to see if I have any fall ones to post.

When walking through a woodsy area especially in the Fall I love keeping an eye on the water to see the many colors created in the water from the above branches. Makes for so many pretty pictures.
Another thing that many forget to do is always look up when walking through a heavy tree area. The area above can be so beautiful when seeing the colorful leaves with the bright blue of the sky between them.
I also like to walk just a short distance and then turn around. The view from the back can be so different then when you just walked on the path.
lol Can you tell I love walking through a park, or wooded area?
Hope the weather clears up so I can get out there and take some pictures before the leaves all drop to the ground. It's been so rainy and dark out that it has been difficult to get any nice pictures this fall.
Funny.. just noticed I have a pic almost exactly like this one I took in Nebraska back in 2002.. have to see if I can find it!
Last year I was looking at a contest winner in a contest held here in Kenosha (one I failed to enter) and it was so weird, the picture looked almost as if it was one of mine! I had to look back at my picture to be sure. It was taken at the same place but maybe a week later into the fall colors.
I should have entered. LOL I wonder what the Judges would have done having 2 almost the same pics to choose from 2 different people.
I noticed this year the colors don't seem as bright and with all the clouds, not many good days to even look.
I took a walk through the woods early yesterday morning and noticed many green ones are just dropping. Also there is still plenty of ones that need to turn color yet. But all in all it was a beautiful walk and I did get a few photos. I'll try to post a few soon.
I did see some nice color by the Baraboo Hills area a week ago, but still lots of green. Around here it just seems like the oranges and reds weren't so bright this year. I know the lack of rain in Aug. and early Sept. wasn't much help there. Next year will probably be better.
I'm still waiting for a fall like we had maybe 3 years ago? It was the most vibrant beautiful hues of golds, yellows, reds, that I had ever seen. I took so many pictures that year. Every year I go back to some of the same places I walked that 'good' year but yet to find that same brilliant colors. Either it has been to wet, to dry, not enough sun, etc. But it will happen again I'm sure.
I'm thinking it may be still a wee bit early for the full effect yet for our area. Time will tell.
I don't really have lots of fall photos which is odd since I have many summer ones of flowers and so on. I think because most of the time we are in the car when I see the trees and can't take pictures.
If you were outside yesterday you might have noticed the Asian beetles all over. They were using me for a landing strip. It was nasty riding bike with them all over me. They hurt when they bite! They smell if you touch them to get them off.
