Life... in Photos

Google and Life Magazine have created a search-able database filled with millions of photos from the Life Magazine archives... it's a great reference tool, and the photos go all the way back to the 1860s... so essentially about 20 years after Photography was "developed"

It's a great looking database, with so many cool photos... and it's worth checking out. I'm a big fan of flipping through photo collections bound in a book... and this is essentially the same thing.

I used to have a complete run of Life magazines from the first issue (1939) to the last that I picked up at a garage sale for $50. over 10 years ago. Wish I had them now.

There are alot of issues worth some big bucks (i.e., Life Magazine April 13, 1962 Burton/Taylor Cover W/ Mickey Mantle & Roger Maris Post Baseball Cards comes to mind) and alot of great photos, of course.
