Infrared - Myric Park and maybe more

Since I don't have much time to get out and take pictures anymore, I've been looking back through my old photos of the Coulee Region looking for ones to put up on my site. In the process, I ran into some old (2002) infrareds I did. I decided to play around with them since I know a bit more about digital editing now and see what I could make. I think this one turned out pretty good.

Now I've gotten inspired to take some more... I'm going to see if I can escape for a bit in the morning. If I manage it, I may post some more in this thread.

PS: Hehe... I just hit 30 posts and turned into a man.

That is an awesome shot MichelleC , please keep them coming. I am sorry to hear that you are going through a gender identification crisis but with enough postings you too will get through it unscathed.

For you people who never used Infared film there is a trick to using it. The emusion is at a differnat focal distance than normal film, so you need to adjust your lense focus by manually adjusting by using ir distance ring on the lense. 8)

Actually, this was taken digitally on my Olympus D490Z. It's a 2.1 megapixel camera that has an adapter to take a Hoya infrared filter. It's not exactly the same as film infrared but it's still pretty cool.

I didn't manage to get out to take any photos today. I'm hoping maybe I can sneak out a bit after supper and get some of the evening light, but that's hard with having to get the kids ready for bed. We'll see.

Ok, while I embrace the new digital photography technology, I still think in terms of old school film.
either way it's all fun .
