Arizona Ruins

Ok I tried something tonight.
During my spring trip to Arizona I took a series of photos at the Wupatki ruins. Tonight I stitched them together with Autostitch and imported the panographic shot into PhotoStory3. I the ripped some muisc and added it.
the link below will show you the results.
I hope you enjoy it.

You did an excellent job!

Just a tip for those that watch this...I watched it twice before I noticed the little 'full size' tab on the top. This really makes it great when you increase the size. A must do.

Thanks for sharing with us!

The answer is 11 individual shots were used to create the panorama.
They were all hand held. If I were to do it again I would use a tripdod with a level. One of those round levels so you check level in every direction. I got very lucky and the software "autostitch" did a great job. I think one of the tricks is to have a still image. Any moving oject will mess the picture up if it moves inbetween frame.
But then if you time it right you could make a unique shot of something traveling across the sceene. Ideas.Ideas I have a million every day but usually just dismiss them.
I actualy started to design a self-leveling tripod a while back but lost interest, which is typical for me.

Second Question...

Second Question is, did you use regular 4x5 or 5x7 shots, or was it taken with a panaromic setting (I'm thinking 35mm...not digital, I'm stuck in the past).

I just worked on a stop motion animation piece where we animated a tilt on the camera by incrementally moving the tripod head upwards just...it sure is a lot harder then it seems.

I used a Minolta Dimage F1 digital camera settings Jpeg format with 2272 x 1704 resolution, I am not sure how that translates to Analog, even at my old age I am so NT it would make your head swim .
I used to go with TIFF format but found that is sucks so much more space and I am not sure that I gained much..

I am not that impressed with my digital as I used to be but I can not afford what I would really like.
I sure wish I could buy a digital back for my Nikon F
(Now that would ЯØÇЌ) but even if it were availbe I am sure it would be EXPENSIVE!!!!
