j10asen is on a distinguished road
On the road to Stephenson

On the road to Stephenson I saw this small country church off in the distance. The first thing that came to my mind was that this will be a black and white shot. It was ageless and I need to capture it. I had my wife pull off onto the side road and immediatelly I notice that the side road vanatage point obscured the view of the steeple so we drove up to the church to turn around. I just wonder if fate had us do that as approaching the chuch I noticed a boulder with hand painted letters dedicating a small park to a fallen solder of the World War 2. In a congegation of few one young man lost his life to war that would end all wars.
We returned to main road where I took this shot. I just can not decide which way I like it better.

after all these years
and so many tears
young men still
march off without any fears
some return with badges of honor
some in boxes with a flag as their armor
how many more will tell this tale
how more more lives will be impaled
how many dawns will be brought on
and yet the young men still march on
war is not the answer
nor is it fate
pray for peace
it's not too late

some in boxes with a flag as their armor
how many more follow this path
how more more lives will be dashed
how many dawns bring another day
and yet the young men march on
the same old way
war is not the answer
nor is it fate
pray for peace
it's not too late

pk will become famous soon enough
First of all, this is a really great picture no matter which one you decide to pick..I can certainly see why you took the time to check it out and take a picture.

Now, which is the I would say I like better?? That is difficult to say. I like them all for different reasons.

If I was going for a really great look that was different and a bit odd...I would totally pick the 3rd one. I love that one for whatever reason. lol Great look to a great picture. Changes it to a different time level.

Of the rest of them, I like when the Church is further back. I like the depth of the fence line when it's longer.

.lol...I think we should add pictures like this in different ways for people to vote on or comment on like this more often. I think it would be fun to see our 'works' through other's eyes.
