OOH, wild mushrooms! Those first ones look like Oyster mushrooms. Oysters are excellent with onions and trout.

The ones on the stump look like perhaps last year's Chicken o' the woods.
New ones should be sprouting there soon. Another excellent food!

Just don't eat them on MY word alone. Always be positive in your ID first, and then only cook and eat a little at first.

My morel season is over now, but I'm planning to hunt Chanterelles in July.

Good pictures!

lol...I also meant to add that it's pretty cool how a bubbler member is on vacation and still thinks to take pictures to share on the bubbler. Way to go! And thanks for sharing.

Those are some beauties!
Take heed when buying pre-sliced mushrooms...especially from Wal-Mart. They're slimy when you get down into the package. The label says they came from California. Wal-Mart needs to rethink their policy on their "fresh" produce offerings.
Remember, the more that the produce has been processed (sliced, chopped), the faster the product will break down.
